  Recompression Chamber
  Photos

ALDive’s “D-Unit” squad was instrumental in the setting up of the island’s first recompression chamber housed and managed by the Princess Margaret Hospital. The project was funded by the European Union through the Dominica Ministry of Tourism’s Eco-Tourism Development program. The marine component of this program was managed by Mr. Arun “Izzy” Madisetti. We also underwent training as technicians and in fact because ALDive is part of the maintenance team we are granted special access to the chamber.

Skull Trucking’s Maniscopic beast was perfect for the job..........................................The Fragile oxygen generator

Izzy and Mr Parker's team ................................Martin

We NEVER wish divers to be treated in this Dominica Chamber. So far we’ve had 3 (not diving with ALDive), all fully recovered so the system does actually work.

Training in operations .......................................The PMH nurses are the best

Everyone got a chance to do a dry dive.................... Izzy, Dave and a hospital maintenance technician

Pete from Cabrits, “Dry” Dive specialty anyone?............................................ The Opening Ceremony

Minister Nassief being briefed by local medical doctor and dive instructor Dr. Fitzroy Armour

The Dominica Watersports Association along with Dr. Armour and the Dominica Ministry of Health are in the process of registering the chamber with D.A.N.

The chamber training has indeed made ALDive diving profiles safer.

We won’t help you get a “bend” but if you do, we may help mend you……..remember……….
1. Plan your dives and dive your plan.
2. Slowly ascend from every dive with safety stops
3. Stay hydrated
4. Dive with ALDive
