Discover Scuba Diving
introduces people to scuba diving in a highly supervised
and relaxed manner. Under the guidance of an ALDive
professional, new divers learn basic safety concepts,
put on equipment and swim around underwater in a closely
supervised environment.
The program
can take place in a swimming pool, a protected,
confined, open water area, or an open water dive site
a location where the particular beginning diver can
experience a positive and safe introduction to the world
scuba diving.
After
trying scuba, many new divers may decide to repeat the
experience. If not immediately, then on other
occasions or in different areas. Others, choose to
pursue certification by enrolling in an Open Water Diver
course. When certain requirements are met, new
divers may earn credit toward Open Water Diver
certification.
