The Advanced
Open Water Diver
program is based on the premise that diving is a means
to explore other interests. Once comfortable with basic
skills, divers want to conquer new tasks, see different
creatures, journey into diverse environments and
experience new adventures.
ALDive offers more
convenience and flexibility in continuing diving
education than any other dive shop on the island. Our
program design allows divers to choose the dives that
interest them and to sample activities under the
guidance of an instructor.
To
participate an individual must:
Be certified as an Open
Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from any
training organization. (This is defined as proof of an
entry level scuba certification with a minimum of 4 open
water training dives from any agency.)
Advanced Diver Training
Prior to an Advanced Dive,
student divers must understand the information necessary
to safely complete the dive. This is usually
accomplished by having divers complete the appropriate
knowledge review from an
Advanced Diving Manual or multimedia, but may also
include thorough pre-dive briefings or question and
answer sessions.
When logistics dictate,
“knowledge reviews” may be completed and collected after
the dive.
